Engage them, consult them… make them the beta tester before launching new dragons…to make the game better.

Hoping to find effective ways to reduce multi-account behavior, a few people take most of the rewards. At the end of the season, they created more accounts to compete for the ranking, and ELO was their accomplice.
If so, the S10 and beyond will not be worth waiting for.

We don’t encourage multi-account behavior, but it is a common problem for all games. In order to prevent multi-accounting, we will adopt some new rules in S10.

1. Score Decay System: To stop high mmr players from stopping matches, players who reach 500 or more will lose a certain number of trophies if they don’t play at least 3 matches per day until they drop to a lower number of trophies.

2. Matchmaking rules: In order to avoid two identical players matching all the time, you must match with multiple other players after a battle before you can meet again.

We are constantly optimizing the rules to increase the cost of multi-account behavior.

But has team identified some new flaws with current systems? 👀

Following is some of what I believe to be flaws. 🧐

Current trial card set up, combined with ELO system, seems to me to make dragon ownership pointless.🥲 Trial card dragons have good all-round stats and no durability costs (very lucrative) and in 24hrs a serious player with spare time and items can play 200+ games easy… Perhaps make trial dragons unable to earn totem or a cut off limit on earnings, or trial dragons incur durability costs, or maybe the time window is drastically shortened. 🤷‍♂️

Combine the above problem with multi accounts and we suddenly have an environment where a few can reap a bulk of the rewards 🤑. And people don’t even need to add value to actual dragons because no need to invest or rent, not good for dragon owners 🥲. Also they don’t even need to spend that much time to achieve getting half a dozen accounts high in the rank, a couple of good days on each account… Maybe making seasons shorter with smaller rewards might work. And to combat the multi accounts that use trial cards and/or joggle the same dragons around multiple accounts perhaps a decay system might help, especially in the ELO system. Don’t reach a certain amount of games per day and trophies start to dwindle. 🤷‍♂️

Another thing, If I rent a dragon from paid rental, in the 24hrs, If I have heaps of time on my hands and plenty of items, I can completely drain dragons of durability, leaving the durability for the owner. This seems unfair… Maybe renters should cover dura costs also, but I guess owners rent low at their own risk.🤷‍♂️

1. I agree with you about the dragon trial card issue. The purpose of the Dragon Trial Card is to give players experience with the skill, not to create a lower cost speculative environment that ends up hurting the players who actually hold the Dragon NFT. For this reason, we will add a battle count cap to all dragon trial cards and use the full number of times, regardless of whether the trial card expires or not, it will disappear.

2. Regarding the issue of dragon durability for paid rentals, we don’t want to design a complicated payment process because it will increase the cost of comprehension for players. However, there is some truth in the problem you said, and we hope that the dragon owners renting to take this cost into account is the best result. At the same time, in order to support and encourage dragon owners to use the paid rental feature, we will give certain active discount cards later to reduce the cost of repairing dragon rental for a limited time.

All these invitation challenges are infact maybe encouraging multi-accounting.

One observation.

Player use newly setup acc to rent a team from rental market.

This rented team will be used as FOOD for his real account.

Using 2 phones, the 2 accounts will launch at the same time. Chances of getting FOOD is relatively easy when the total player number is low in the system.

Dragon owners will have to fork out the durability cost.

Win win situation for that individual…

Despite the blacklist feature of the rental system, the cost of scamming players is still so low that they keep changing wallet accounts.

It is unfair to dragon owners, so we realized that we need to update the rules of the rental system to allow dragon owners to impose higher rental requirements on players, such as.

-Ranking within 200 in the last season
-Composite battle strength of 100 or higher (battle strength = number of battles x battle win rate)
-Must be registered for at least 30 days
……

This will provide a more informative mechanism for dragon owners to filter players.

1. One suggestion to the devs is help guilds to find scholars and let them put some guides for newbies. So far only ZNFT Guild is the only newbie friendly guild where the server has many tutorial videos like about gameplay starter guides, how to cash out in game, rules etc. More guild events pls😊

In reference to the issue raised the other day. Do you have rules too regarding joggling of dragons to other accounts to secure a spot in the higher rank for S10? Thank you.

In response for reducing multiple account, i think it gonna a doom to limit player at this time. Most of players use their accounts to keep in profits, since dmt and totem keep flooring. They make efforts to spend their energy to get totem, and it isnt easy. To play multiple acc, it takes time. Like 2 hours for one acc, and some have more than ten. It is crazy, but they did that cause they believe this project is good.

Fine if you wanna reduce players to make multiple acc. But do consider to change the energy limitation for playing the games. Give people to have more options to choose, not limiting their ways.

We could have achieved it, but the reason we didn’t was that it could have been a financial legal risk.

Hi, i have one concern which I think is important for the game

Dragon Master is a game after all, and games need to be fun before they can become popular or for the popularity to last.

We had many updates in last couple of months but all of them were either economy updates or functions not related to the main gameplay. The closest was the new card game mode but it is a ‘side game’ as the main game which people play for rewards is still the traditional mode.

There has been no update in the main game mode since angel dragon (and even that is not a big update)

We need more gameplay updates, it is getting stale. You guys have focused more on marketing recently which is great but as I have said before all things need to be done together. You can’t give up on game development for marketing and vice versa. Both needs to be concurrent.

I like the concept of this game but without new features/content it really gets stale fast. Just imagine if clash royale did not regularly have new units or new features

Yes, our recent updates have all been on the economic side and the game side is being developed. Some new art pages that can be shared.

Game fun is at the heart of what we stand for and we will not stop developing and innovating with new features encompassing games, economies, smart contracts and more. We are steadily moving forward and insist on updating with a new version within 1–2 weeks.

What is the plan for the card mode moving forward? Is there a plan to add rewards to it? Because until that happens the main game is still more important when it comes to maintaining player base

Do you think there is a possibility that the card format could replace the main game?

It’s not for me to decide. I think more people will play the mode with rewards. Very much like the same situation now with axie origins vs axie v2. Some people want v2 support back because they believe v2 is the better game. But origins has more users because all the rewards are in origins.

So you have to make the decision that is best for dragon master. Ideally the better game mode is chosen as the main mode for rewards

And focus on improving that before making new game modes. As you can see some people probably felt the effort on the card game mode is wasted

Original dragon master game mode is unique, card game mode is more like copying clash royale. I believe the original mode has a lot of potential BUT a lot of work needs to be done and none has been done in the last few months. The game will become stale and fail to attract players without regular gameplay improvements.

It must be acknowledged that rewards are indeed the best motivation, but we can’t dismiss some efforts because there aren’t any rewards, and then both the game and the community will lose innovation.

Rest assured that we will continue to develop new features for the main game as well as make some new modes, and we welcome your participation and comments.

If there are no rewards, then the gameplay needs to be revolutionary. Basically without rewards you are competing with all the web 2 giant game studios out there.

I know card mode has stars. People will play other modes if it contributes to the main game in some way

To be honest, the threshold of the card mode is too high, and the fun is not high. You can share background running data for evaluation.

Yes! We do have plans for this and it is in development

New-player protection: For a better new-player game experience, during the new season, when a player plays less than 30 games and his/her ELO score less than 200, no trophies will be deducted even if the game lost.

First of all, the first and third points must be confirmed, which is great. The second point: how many games are played every day? Careful consideration is required and adjustments can be made based on the data from the previous week’s games. I mean, maybe ten games?

Haha, I understand what you mean about not too many times at once to avoid it becoming a hard pressure. We think 3 times would be appropriate, and we’ll see how it goes subsequently.
