Why did the earn leaderboard experience disappear?

The elo system should be continuously optimized: such as adding time weights. For the same mmr account, if the player wins again, the player with more online time should get a slightly higher number of trophies. (Just to clarify the point of view, the specific rules are discussed together)
S13 canceled the Earn leaderboard rewards: let some people down again. These people are players who have been online for a long time but are not very skilled, and their income is reduced again, if you think it is reasonable. Then I can only hahahaha 😂

1. In fact, rewards of S13 earning leaderboard have not been cancelled. Earning leaderboard profits is related to TreasureHunt data. We noticed that TreasureHunt’s recycling data is greater than burning data in S13, resulting in no additional profit allocated to earning leaderboards. This is the first time we have met this matter, the reason is that S13 banned the use of protection-card props, resulting in a decline in the totem burning economy.

In S14, we will make some adjustments to TreasureHunt to restore the profits of earning leaderboards. From this matter, we can see that the protection card is closely related and dynamically balanced between competitive fairness and token burning. Of course, it is our developer’s responsibility to create more consumer demand, and we will work hard to optimize this in the future.

2. Welcome to explore more possibilities of the ELO system. If add time weight, players with more online time will get more trophies after winning. This plan reminds me of the abuse of trophy double cards and protection card props. Think about it, the results of his two plans are similar in the end, that is, at the expense of ELO fairness, another aspect of data is achieved. If the abuse of trophy double cards and protection cards is allowed, then the achievement is the token burning economy; if it is online time, then the achievement is false online time. If I had to choose between the two, I would choose the former, the token burn economy, which is more practical.

Of course, we have now decided to ban trophy double cards and protection cards in the hope of a fairer playing field, which is more meaningful than online time and token burning economy!

I think we have to be more concern about the tournament that giveaway set of Trial cards… there’re too many of them now and no one will buy anything on the market…. next tournament, we should go back to the team that we have on every Guilds and if anyone want something special, they can try getting it from Treasure Box…

🫡There is a constructive opinion for your reference: Many players will participate in the game every day. In the contrary, many players have registered a lot of accounts in order to obtain a lot of accounts, the number of trophy of the account is around 490+ ( The above behavior has seriously destroyed the game ecology. I hope that the development team wants to stop this behavior.

I dont see the problem of having 100 accounts at 490… if they dont continue to push they will end up at top 300–400…. it wont make any different to the higher part of Leaderboard….. and if they want just that 150–200 DMT reward, we should give them…. why not???? they need to have 4 dragons on that team to get the reward… and for manager, we wont be happy to waste 4 dragons for that small reward… at the end of the season like this week, they have to push if why want to get more reward… and to push MMR, they may need some props or any help from Treasure box…. I think that it’s good for the ecology…. in addition, we have a lot more ONLINE player that help us shorten the waiting time for Matching…….

Much understand the views of both sides. One player wants Web3 games to be more real and fair. Players on the other side believe that web3 games have nothing to do with identity, they are anonymous, and they are a workload mechanism. As long as they work within the allowed rules, they should be paid accordingly. Regardless of whether they are real people or bots.

Two very interesting points of view. In fact, the development teams of all Web3 games are thinking and balancing this issue. The reality is contradictory. We want both uncontrolled decentralized asset management and a level playing field free of crime. This is an impossible triangle problem in the real world.

I would like to share with you about the development philosophy of DragonMaster: the only constant is change.

Just like the DM Wallet released yesterday, we saw two voices from the community, some supported and some objected. It’s good, because everyone still cares.

Back to our question: As long as we don’t explicitly publish the rules and policies for multiple accounts, there is no violation. Of course, this does not mean that we encourage bots, on the contrary, our attitude is against bots. The development team is formulating rules through technology, let the rules govern the world, and let the rules make the world work well. This is our development principle.

*there are lot of player specially with sd who only played before season ends, like 1 week before it ends.. they can easily climb because they can get higher trophy if they win a macth.. for this late gamer how about lowering the trophy they win everymatch..

lol… this shouldn’t be a question at all….. if you start your account at the last week of season, you cant get to top 20 for sure… if you are just playing it normally with normal ENERGY…. but if anyone want to get to top 20 by using Energy prips and other helps, then it’s ok for the system… nothing to do with ELO system….. how can you get high MMR every WIN actually… you cannot….. when you past 500 or 600 MMR how can you get 10 MMR per win????? you have to win over those 700 MMR and if you can win, then what’s the problem….. you should be congratulated for your skil…. nothing’s wrong with ELO system… it’s just PEOPLE who using it…. how can you manage to use it perfectly and help you get to the top of Leaderboard….. dont blame other people for what they do, nor blame any system for not suiting you…… if they can do that, you can do it too…

We see that many new players have doubts about the ELO ranking system, do not understand its design principles, and think it is unfair to “effort players”.

Let me share the reason why it was proposed. At the beginning, we did not have an ELO ranking system, but a fixed number of trophies for victory. “Effort players” spend more than 20 hours online every day to gain more energy, which means more trophies. Rankings are dominated by “effort players”, energy is greater than skill.

At the same time, the new players are dissatisfied. They thought they were also very hardworking players. It is just because they were late to enter the game so that it is impossible to catch up with the previous players no matter how hard they tried. This is unfair.

Seeing this, maybe you can understand the significance of the ELO ranking system, which is currently the most reasonable and fair solution.

It is impossible for every game to satisfy all players and investors, because the world is diverse and existence is reasonable. What we have to do is to respect every player and every investor in every country to the greatest extent, allow different voices, to improve and optimize our game system, so as to be compatible with more players around the world. This is our basic idea.

Just curious can we make battle history public? So everyone could see who were the last 20–30 players this player fought against with? If some are concerned about being hunted then you can leave the time of battle hidden. Something like that.

Of course, the battle history can be disclosed, and many games have done so. This not only makes supervision easier, but also good in interacting. No matter from which point of view, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. I personally agree with this proposal, and I will also give feedback to the team.

That is a point of view. I submit another one to you. Do you know how many single account players quit games because of multi account players? Because I do know a lot of them in every game I played. And they probably exceed the number of accounts players by multi players. So in the end I think it is beneficial to ban multis…
The best way to make a game live, is play because you like it, and be contagious about your fun. 😉

Even tho multi account is allowed, there are still many NFTs not being used due to small number of active players. We all saw what happened when the rumor of banning multi account spread. Match making takes too long even on low mmr because some players like me played 1 or 2 acct only. The only reason why this newbies are complaining about multi account is the difference in SKILL LEVEL. As you can see highly skilled players are dominating the leaderboard and I know most of them are multi-accounting. So what is the solution with this?? Upload more tutorial videos, tips and tricks how to play like a PRO. Not just uploading how to play. THIS NEWBIES SHOULD PLAY MORE and understand how the game works. Experience is the key! If this newbies got to the point that they can compete with this LB players that will be the time they can try multi accounts. They cant do multi accounts because their main account cant even climb the leaderboard so its useless or not advisable to do. To make it short
BANNING MULTI ACCOUNT WILL RESULT TO:
LONGER MATCH MAKING TIME
MANY NFTs will not be used
LESS BREEDERS
POSSIBLE loss of OLD and active players. (I WILL QUIT IF MULTI IS NOT ALLOWED)

Suggestion: Hire some PRO players as streamer so that newbies can learn from them. I mean PRO, someone from top 1–20 NOT JUST SOMEONE WHO CAN SHARE SCREEN.

Upon back reading all the informations written in the announcements and updates for me to get knowledgeable in this game, btw I am a former player here in DM and aiming to compete again.

We all know that elo ranking system are calculated based on the relative skill level of players and If the higher-rated player wins, only a few rating points are deducted from the lower-rated player and vise versa. What I wanted to say here is to be considerate to those players with no SD’s and can’t afford to buy SD’s and even in the lucky draws.

I feel their disappointments. And can’t climb so high in their tropies. Since the elo system is intact and not be replaceable, What I suggest is to have a separated ranking (LB) for them aside from the LB for those who have SDs (trial cards or not). Just saying 😁🥹.

And please make an actions to those multi accounts or maybe limit them into 3 accounts i guess 🥲 to give fairness to everyone.

how come that restore price for some props in the shop aren’t relatively equal? there are several 0.8% chance which restore 200 totem but shelf prop with 0.9% chance restore 250 totem while crystals with 0.03% chance restore 4k totem. i don’t know why but the math don’t add up. can you guys clarify on this matter?

Is there any way for external wallet users (Metamask, WalletConnect) to opt not to use the DM Wallet? Just for their peace of mind, this matter was also seen in ⁠💬丨general

I have seen that DM wallet is the version we will focus on promoting in the future. The core feature is that we can add DM Wallet to Android and iOS without having to go to a website browser to open it, which is a difficult process to accept.

Right now we are not mandating the use of DM Wallet, EOA players can ignore this update and it will not affect the game functionality, but the rental system will not be available as it is on the web side. The leasing system is already compatible with multi-chain NFT via DM wallet, something that was not possible before.

The development team can’t manage two different wallet versions for a long time, so it’s hard to make it perfect now, and will give some time for people to understand and trust.

In fact, we are not the only one in the market using MPC wallet, there are many games using the same solution.

Summary of concerns…

1. Elo scoring system needs to be better tweaked from time to time to PATCH exploitations. Of which, some is already OBVIOUS in current state.

2. Unpatched Elo system Coupled with Multi accounting is best described at current top positions on the leaderboard.

3. I mentioned before and I will reiterate… Dev needs to be A good Player. A good Manager, A good developer…. inorder to be at better position to address exploitation.

What is the serious problem with the ELO system? Or do you have any suggestions for improvement?

there’s major issue with DM wallet. forcing investors to bridge NFTs into another wallet which they don’t own the seed phrase is a massive red flag for big investors. also big investors are the major providers for renting page and now without bridging, leasing isn’t possible. i hope you guys see the contradictory here.

We have not developed the function of providing DM wallet private keys because we consider that if the user’s assets are lost, it is impossible to explain the party to whom the responsibility belongs.
