Quickly transfer DMT, TOTEM between Polygon chain and Meter chain

Before making a transaction, many players may not be familiar with how to make cross-chain transfers. In the following part, we will introduce to you: how to use Meter’s cross-chain bridge to quickly transfer $DMT and $TOTEM, so that you can freely transfer funds between Polygon and Meter chains.

Preparation before cross-chain
1. Add the Meter Chain network to your MetaMask

2. Cross-chain fee
Please make sure there is enough gas fee in the wallet to pay the cross-chain transaction fee.
The bridge fees are used to pay for the transaction cost for the relayers on the destination chain and the relay chain. They are paid on the source chains’ native gas token.
(Note: Currently all inbound bridge transactions to Meter Mainnet will receive 0.3 MTR in airdrop.)
How to obtain MTR:
Each time you bridge any tokens (DMT or TOTEM for example) to Meter network through https://passport.meter.io you will receive 0.3 MTR airdrop. You could also swap for MTR without MTR through gasless swap at https://wallet.meter.io/swap

Guide: Transfer DMT/TOTEM from Polygon to Meter
Step 1: Connect your MetaMask wallet after entering Meter’s cross-chain bridge
Step 2: Select transfer direction, token, amount
Select the transfer direction from Polygon to Meter. After setting, please confirm you have selected the correct transfer direction again. Then, select the token (DMT/TOTEM) that needs to be transferred, and enter the amount of token you want to transfer. Finally, click “Start transfer”.
Step 3: After confirming again, start the transfer
Step 4: After submitting the transfer, MetaMask will prompt a request for cross-chain transfer, click “Confirm” to complete the cross-chain request.
Step 5: The cross-chain transfer will take a certain amount of time to complete. You can check the transfer progress in the Meter blockchain browser. After the transfer is complete, you will see your DMT/TOTEM balance in the Meter chain.

If you want to transfer DMT/TOTEM from Meter to Polygon, you can follow the steps above, and change the transfer direction in Step 2 to cross-chain from Meter to Polygon. (Note: Please make sure you have enough MTR to pay the bridge fee)
