Please introduce yourself and the team behind Dragon Master

Hi everyone, glad to be here in GameFi Squad Family, by the way my name is Rondie, I’m the Philippine Marketing Department Head of DragonMaster and I’m 23 yrs of age and graduated with a bachelor’s degree of BS-Administration Major in Marketing.

We are currently all remote right now.

Lately, there were some changes with our team staff, and some of our team members don’t want to reveal too much personal information now, so our official team website launch has been slightly delayed. But once we are stable, we will make it public.

But as you can see, our game updates have been released on time, we’ve completed almost all of the game’s development before choosing to release it to the public. We’re an inclusive and humble team, and we’re a group of people who really want to develop DragonMaster into a great game!

What inspired you to create the Dragon Master project?

As you can see, Clash Royale has done very well and obviously DragonMaster will surpass it as the gameplay you can see at the moment is just our first version and we have many more game designs in the future including multiple use scenarios for NFT such as guild wars, land farming etc. We are building the Dragon metaverse and not just a game like Clash Royale which is why we think blockchain gaming will change the tradition.

We are very excited as a guild to start playing and earning with Dragon Master, can you tell us;

a. When a functioning guild/scholar management system is due to be released and any details of this?

That’s a very good question Tom, We expect it to be used mid-to-late March. Yes, it will be online soon, the development process is nearing the end, and we will see the guild-based rental system online soon. If you hold a large number of NFTs and With a group of members, you can easily manage them.

For example, in the guild rental system it allows guilds to rent out NFTs they hold to other players and share the revenue generated in the game.

Guilds will create and rent the NFTs that need to be rented, set the profit sharing ratio that they want to provide to scholars, and assign them designated-player addresses or guild sub-accounts to play games without complicated operations.

In order to reduce the management issues of guilds, we also added the profit sharing of the community manager, and the guild can find a manager for management. In addition, the guild can change the profit sharing ratio in the rent at any time, and the change will take effect immediately. During the rent, if guilds find that the members are not active enough, they can cancel the rental status and take back the NFT.

b. How the P2E mechanics will work in the game

-Well, A Player will have to mint Dragon NFTs then join the battle to win the game and Earn TOTEM rewards. It’s either he will sell it through exchange or hold it to farm DMT in the sacred altar.

-Breeders have to mint dragons then breed, and sell them to the other players or in the marketplace itself.

-Scholars, apply for scholarships from specific guilds, join the battle, win the game, earn ingame tokens rewards depending on the percentage split agreed.

And future p2e mechanics will be announced soon.

c. Will more powerful dragons have an advantage over weaker ones?

Well In the current battles, the special dragon will maintain a certain advantage, especially the Freeze Dragon that players liked in the test, it is really a love-hate. But after the game is officially launched, we will make a balance adjustment, we will try to pursue the balance and playability of the game, and make balance adjustments on a regular basis, so that relatively weak dragons can have advantages in some cases.

For example, a team composed of multiple dragons of the same type has a buff bonus. I think this will allow some relatively weak dragons to continue fighting, and I think will be attainable.

d. Is there a PVE mode in case matchmaking is unavailable?

Yes, we have considered this function. In order to satisfy everyone’s ability to improve their skills, there will be a function similar to the battle with friends. Players can play against friends without consuming energy. Of course, playing against friends will not produce TOTEM or other rewards, only for skill improvement.

Can you tell us about any partnerships you have?

-Of course, Dragon Master raised $1.125M in seed sale in early Q2 2021. The investment institution that can be disclosed at present is Damo Labs. In addition, we also established contact with Polygon Studio last year, and accepted their grant.

-Later, DragonMaster became the first batch of games supported by IGG, and other guilds include TCG, NamelessGG, BTR, and many more. At the same time, we have also established cooperation with many Facebook and Youtube influencers. Once the game is online, we will be full of firepower.

Please tell us about any future developments we can look forward to

-As said in the whitepaper, the current game is still a very simple playable version. Our main work at this stage is to ensure the game’s playability and the stability of the economic system. After the rental system discloses, there will be a plan about the Revenue Sharing program.

-Spoiler Alert! I can reveal in advance that there will be new baby dragons born in the Revenue Sharing program. I think these are what we need to complete in our first layout. In the next stage, we will continue to expand the territory of the Lemuria world. Diverse Matches and Tribes are what we have planned before, which will involve the gameplay of land.

-You can imagine a scenario where players fight in the land owned by the guild and can earn money from it, and they can even host events, parties, farming, and etc in their own land. The land system that will be introduced in the future allows players to freely develop their hometown, defend against opponents through appropriate deployment, and Enhance their abilities with combat and resource looting, and engage in group engagements. In addition, we are also improving and expanding our technical team. In the future, maybe in 2023, players will be able to “enter the game” through VR and other devices. it will be cool to be able to hear the dragons’ cry clearly in the ear right?

Can you talk us through the tokens;

a. TOTEM

-Totems are ingame rewards by doing daily quests, winning in a battle through PVP.

b. DMT

-DMT can be acquired through farming in a sacred altar, which only TOTEM Holders can get access to.

-The sacred altar generates DMT every 2 hours, and this portion will be allocated according to the ratio of the number of TOTEM held by each player to the total number of TOTEM held by all active players. The more TOTEM a player holds, the more DMT he/she will get.

-When a player’s sacred altar has been neglected for more than 48 hours without collecting DMT, the system will automatically mark that player as inactive, and he/she will be removed from the allocation list. When that player reclaims its DMT, the system will recognize him/her as an active player and re-assign him/her to the allocation list.

Additional Notes

-The daily output DMT from the sacred altar will come from the Play-to-Earn Funds.

-The daily output amount may be adjusted based on a variety of economic factors.

What mechanics or plans do you have in place for economic sustainability?

About the strategic plans, since we are still at the very early stage, we believe that there are 3 core points that we can make.

1. We’re gonna make DragonMaster fun and competitive, that’s the nature and cornerstone for every long-term game.

2. Implement the revenue-sharing economy, that’s the growth power of the long-term game.

3. Focus on Tokenomics, buyback and burn, which is necessary for the balance of the economic system of long-term games.

And of course, a healthy Ecosystem!

Are there any plans to have the game available on other platforms apart from mobile?

Well as of now, only mobile phones are available in the system such as iOS and Android. But if you want to play on your PC or Laptop, you need to download an emulator like bluestacks and download the game there. Then that is the time you’ll be able to play on your PC or Laptop. In the future, the team will expand more on any available platforms apart from mobile such as PC, so that it will be more convenient to those players who prefer playing on their desktop.

How will the devs maintain the liquidity of the token?

The devs are working hard to maintain and improve the token liquidity by doing buy back and burn. Also launching events that helps the liquidity to increase so that the economic system will maintain and will be sustainable.

What’s the uniqueness of the DragonMaster game among others?

The Uniqueness of DragonMaster from the other games is that the game doesn’t only provide for what are the standards. We are improving the gaming experience of every player as well as investors by giving them the right satisfaction they want including the gaming experience with the future use of VR and other game mechanics like defending your territory while earning money etc.
